A brief Encounter....
In August 2007 I approached The West Yorkshire Playhouse to display some of my images, in the end i was asked to curate an exhibition of my work to run along side the Play 'A Brief Encounter'. I watched and loved the film the play is based on, and the theme of tea came to mind. Tea and solitude became the themes of my photographs....

In june 2007, I was invited to collaborate with some final year students from the Leeds Contemporary School of Dance. The theme was movement and space. I took some photographs on Scarborough beach of the girls improvising through contemporary dance, using the space of the beach and the confinement of the beach's bunker. The work was used in an installation for their degree show and also the dance school bought 5 of my images. One of which was features in the Guardian Newspaper.

gardeners world....
One of my Final Pieces for my degree show I wanted to show the contracting themes of Gardens which can also be interpreted as nature itself. I love the irony of gardens acting as a metaphor of nature, they are spaces that are meant to heighten your experience in the natural world, however they are man-made. Gardens are spaces shaped by man. I started taking medium format photographs in stately home gardens. I love the severe lines and grandeur of them. I played around with scale when pairing them with macro photographs of anemone flowers.
